Ezekiel 34 starts off with an introduction about the worthless shepherds. I remembered back when I was looking for answers when I was newly saved. I remembered turning on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) looking for answers to help me find the answers. I remembered when I was preached with the Gospel more than once and I heard an Anabaptist sermon by Pastor Danny Bornales from Cebu Island. I heard that it's all about receiving Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior. I heard the salvation message many times yet I wasn't saved. I was thinking is that all there is to it. One instance in TBN was that it talked about how bad people can enter Heaven. It talked about the life-changing power of the Gospel. However, many programs in TBN are garbage such as Benny Hinn's "This Is Your Day". TBN is run by charismatics and back then, I used to embrace Pentecostals as family. I was seeking for Protestant materials to help me grow in the faith because I could no longer agree with Catholicism. Yet, there were some moments that I believed (in part)...

Do you remember one of the most unhealthy habits that people do? It's been an unhealthy habit that many people are always adding sugar to almost everything to make it taste sweeter. Don't get me wrong I do use sugar but the problem is that they prefer the sweeter white sugar. While the body does need sugar but the problem is having  too much  sugar instead of avoiding excess sugar.  Unrefined sugar isn't as sweet as refined sugar. I remembered how some people prefer to use white sugar because it tastes sweeter than unrefined sugar which has more nutrients. The refined sugar appears white and it's sweeter but it's lost all its nutrients from the chemical treatments just to make refined sugar. In turn, this may also lead to diabetes.  It's a popular trend today to sugar-coat the preaching of the Word of God. I can't deny that I used to listen to Joel Osteen when I was newly saved. I thought he was a man of God but just listening to all his "Your Best Life Now" and comparing it to the Scripture made me drop him like a hot potato. I thought he was on the right because he had a huge number of followers but the Bible says: Matthew 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Just because a pastor has a lot of followers doesn't make him a man of God. Many get deceived and only few ever discern the truth. I have observed how Christianity today is distorted, many people think that Jesus never offended anyone and to be Christlike means to offend nobody. Somebody even told me that Jesus supposedly never told anyone to believe in Him or go to Hell. Such "liberals" tell me that I'm not "loving" and that I'm not showing the "beauty of Christianity" whenever I preach with the hard to believe truth. They say that those who attack other people's religions and beliefs are not acting like Christlike. Worse, they even say that if I start acting more like Jesus then the world's going to love me more. The biblical truth is the more a person becomes more like Jesus, the more the world will hate that person. John 15:18-19 shows that Christians will be hated by the world. Malachi 3:8-10 says, "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the L ORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." The problem today is that to make billions, it's very easy to misquote those verses. I have nothing against giving tithes as part of the Christian living but the moment that the tithe is given out of coercion or swindling then that's just plain wrong. I remembered the time I listened to Joel Osteen and watched TBN when I was still newly saved. It seemed fine until I realized they weren't preaching much about sin and it's been more on the prosperity gospel. Many of the stuff they preach aren't biblical like they say that you know a person who's not well with God because the person isn't living their best life now. Well, they better try to tell all their idiotic statements to the Christians who were suffering for the sake of the Gospel and see if the true Christians will buy it for a second. The answer is no because following Jesus has never been about living a glamorous life. Paul never lived a glamorous life and his whole life was filled with persecution. One is a born again pastor, the other is a burn again pastor...  One of the dirtiest tactic used by Roman Catholics to discredit born again Christianity is to lump born again Christian pastors with those the call as "burn again". Another derogatory term is the word "buang again". Buang means the person is out of one's mind. Some Roman Catholics have even created a Facebook page called "Buang Again". The purpose of the page "Buang Again" is to demean born again Christians. All the while, they're confusing born again Christian pastors from those who really deserve to be called buang again. I've seen this video of Paul Washer's preaching so many times. I always felt, "God give me the grace to be as angry as he is!" Why is he angry? How often is it that worldly prosperity is taught over the Gospel according to Jesus? After reading "Hard to Believe" by John F. MacArthur and watching "Hell's Best Kept Secret", it's no secret that my anger against the "Easy Christianity" crowd hasn't quieted down. Do you think that I'm any less angry daily? No. Time has only made me angrier against those idiots who continue to teach "Easy Christianity", "Prosperity Christianity" or any perversions because salvation doesn't keep people stagnant nor is good works necessary to keep salvation! It's a good thing I've stopped having biases towards John F. MacArthur and that I bought his book "Fool's Gold". Unfortunately, the book didn't really cover on Joel Osteen's "Your Best Life Now". I admit I used to listen to Joel Osteen back when I was newly saved. I realized that he was actually teaching a lot of garbage that I stopped listening to him. As I grew in my Christian life, I realized that one of the biggest marks of false preachers is to preach according to the viewpoint of the world. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." After a person gets saved, they're starting all over again. They're infants in spirituality. Back then after I got saved, I really couldn't agree with any more of the Roman Catholic programs. I wanted to feed on Christian programming without being aware what I got myself into. I once thought TBN and Joel Osteen were God's instruments. Some programs in TBN were pretty good like they attacked several issues about gambling, abortion and homosexuality. I used to think men like Joel Osteen were men of God when I was newly saved. A lot of stuff really started to change when I soon grew in the faith. One day, I started listening to hard Baptist preaching.
