I Wonder How Militant Atheists Who Insist That There Are No Moral Absolutes Think About Having Traffic Rules

When I hear the whole idea that "there are no absolutes" then I start to wonder how do atheists respond to traffic rules? Here's the quote that I love to use against atheists whenever they appeal to morals from "The River Out of Eden":
The total amount of suffering per year in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute that it takes me to compose this sentence, thousands of animals are being eaten alive, many others are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, others are slowly being devoured from within by rasping parasites, thousands of all kinds are dying of starvation, thirst, and disease. It must be so. If there ever is a time of plenty, this very fact will automatically lead to an increase in the population until the natural state of starvation and misery is restored. In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.

If there's no design, no purpose, no evil, no good and nothing but pitiless indifference then what are rules for? To have no purpose and design means that traffic rules don't apply. With that logic in mind that there is no design and purpose then there's no such thing as traffic rules violation. That means that I can disobey traffic signs and traffic enforcers will have no authority over me to make me pay the required penalty. If there were no moral absolutes then there's no such thing as authority.
There's the timeless truth that God puts rules for your protection. Here's what God said to the Israelites about His rules:
Deuteronomy 6:17-18
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and His testimonies, and His statutes, which He hath commanded thee. And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers.

The same goes for traffic rules. There's a red light, yellow light and green light to avoid the cars from crashing into each other. There's a pedestrian light that says stop and go to avoid people from getting hit by running cars. There's no entry signs because there's some major repairs going on. Without these rules the road will be a mess. That's why I thank God that there are rules to follow. These rules keep me safe and keeping them God guarantees that "it may be well with thee" to those who keep His commandments.

What's so ironic about these militant atheists is that they insist that there are no rules but get mad when something bad happens to them. If their car gets an accident, if they couldn't pass through because of pedestrians who don't follow the signs or any result of not obeying traffic rules because they didn't follow rules then they have no right to complain. Having rules gives people the right to complain if something bad happens to them. If there are no moral absolutes then why would I even have the right to complain about what somebody did to me that hurt me to start with?
