Why I Think Following Jesus-is-Savior's Approach is a Very Bad Idea
I remembered how often I read the site Jesus-is-Savior. I was fascinated by it because of its conspiracy theories which only made my witness worse. I started to talk more about what the Vatican could be doing than talking about the plan of salvation to its misled victims. The problem of Jesus-is-Savior is that like Chick Publications - it has the tendency to use sensationalism, conspiracy theories, and make Roman Catholics look like they're all criminals than victims of the false teachings. The average Roman Catholic today knows almost nothing if not absolutely nothing about his or her dirty church history.
I was looking at Answers in Genesis and I was tempted to go the same way as the pervert David J. Stewart. Wasn't Stewart the sex pervert (assuming that said charges against him are in fact, real) who deceived a lot of Christians reading his site? Then he has a flimsy stand on repentance - which nearly made me doubt if I were ever saved. As much as I believe in the doctrine of eternal security - the very idea that a Christian can still live like the rest of the world is very much unbiblical doctrine. Then I thought about how the same site also drove me paranoid.
I don't deny that there's much Satanism and the like in the media. However, the problem of Stewart's website is that he loves to look into occult signs. Take Disney for example. I know Disney has been catering to Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) especially those in the homosexuality agenda but why bother reviewing every Disney film if you know it has that agenda? If you know Elsa will be a lesbian in the next "Frozen" film then why even bother reviewing it? There are so many violent video games so why even bother reviewing them? There are so many sexual immoral films so why bother reviewing them? You know it's toxic agenda and the best advice is to abstain from all appearances of evil. That's something Stewart ignores whenever he reviews such films.
The site is what it is - a badly cluttered mess! Also, Stewart accuses so and so of talking on both sides of his mouth - which he frequently does such as when he condemns the late Anna Nicole Smith as a false convert while he earlier said that it's possible for a believer to live like the rest of the world. Did he forget that Lot, Samson and Solomon may have not given their all but they were not living like the rest of the world?
I don't blame the organizers at Spurgeon.org for calling it as bad theology. It's bad theology with all the repugnant tropes such as distasteful pictures. It tries to reach people out by becoming as cheesy and offensive as possible with very poor research. That's why it's better to just stop reading the site already! Christians should learn to draw the line between offending people with the truth and being purposely offensive like the said website.
