I Believe That God Sends False Prophets as a Way to Judge the Unrepentant

I remembered these words by Paul David Washer and I agree with it 100%:
"False teachers are God’s judgment on people who don’t want God, but in the name of religion plan on getting everything their carnal heart desires. That’s why a Joel Osteen is raised up. Those people who sit under him are not victims of him but he is the judgment of God upon them. And they want exactly what he wants, and it’s not God."

I'm reminded of what Isaiah 66:4 that says that God will choose their delusions. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-13 says that God will send strong delusions upon those who have pleasure in unrighteousness. Even after I showed the verses in context they still refuse to believe it. I start gathering evidence for the truth yet they refuse to believe it. The fact that they refuse to believe the obvious truth is because God is judging them through their delusions. A false teacher is raised up because unsaved people want o have them around (Jeremiah 5:31).

Why do I believe that false prophets are indeed God's judgment on the unrepentant? I could give you this scenario. These people don't want the solid hard truth of the Scripture. They just want anything that pleases their own sinful and selfish desires. I know some people who don't want to leave Roman Catholicism because they're so comfortable in their sins which is living a life of sin, going to confession on Saturday, receive communion on the Mass on Sundays and repeat the whole cycle. Many people hate the idea of salvation from sin by grace through faith because it doesn't feed on their pride. Many want salvation without sanctification because they to sin. You have people who'd rather go to a pastor who feeds on their flesh in one way or another rather than one who preaches sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3-4). These people who continue to follow false prophets will indeed fall into the ditch together (Matthew 15:14, Luke 6:37).

It's the frustration that any Christian can feel that people want pleasant lies over uncomforting truths. Worse, such people tell me that people like me and the fundamentalist Christians are making the world worse because we don't embrace other religions. They think that certain sins like homosexuality, divorce, abortion, pornography, worship of false gods, the heavy metal music industry and transgender operations are perfectly A-OK. They even want to use a Christian's moments of misbehavior to say that people who do the sins they condemn have a better attitude. That just makes me sick when they say that I'm the one who loves to do wrong. I'm even accused of picking up fights and looking for trouble whenever I tell them their religion is damning them to Hell or Jesus is the only Way to the father. These pastors who are leading them to Hell are indeed part of God's way of judging the unrepentant.

The frustration I feel is nothing new. Whenever I read Jeremiah I feel that I'm not alone. If the prophets (and there are no prophets now) weren't so lucky, if the apostles weren't so lucky then I shouldn't expect that I wouldn't suffer persecution by people who follow false prophets. Besides, I'm also think that maybe, just maybe we're getting closer to the Rapture. I don't claim to know the dates but remember God will allow the Antichrist and the False Prophet to rule the world for seven straight years. It's going to lead to God's final judgment. God raises these evil men up to throw His final judgment at the world for them who choose not to love the truth but had pleasure in their unrighteousness.
