I Believe That Sola Parochus (Pastor Alone) and the Prosperity Gospel Creates a Deadly Combination

When people don't read the Bible then they don't discern what they hear. As if the Pope living in Rome isn't enough, there's also pastors who more or less imitate the Pope's cloak of deception by making people have the mentality that when the pastor says it then it must be true. Bro. Gerry Soliman of Solutions Finder Apologetics wrote an entry called Spoofing the Catholic Clips. Here's something meaningful you could take into context:
Yes folks, the maze is like professional wresting entertainment: the result is already predetermined. While there is no explanation or discussion in the clip as to why the Catholic Bishops have apostolic succession, the clip makes that claim simply because the artists say so. And thus, we have exposed their bias.
How would they feel if we present that the Catholic Bishops lead to Satan while Protestant Ministers lead to Christ simply because we said so?

While Bro. Soliman was attacking the fallacies of the Catholic Clips, I want to focus on attacking the problem of pastor alone theology. In Latin, pastor alone means sola parochus. It's really that annoying that today, we have a whole lot of quack pastors who promote this doctrine. Many people today tend to say, "Because the pastor says so!" which ends up in circular reasoning with "Because the Bible says so." Even if in reality nothing in the Bible ever supports the heresy of pastor alone. This results to a similar scenario where Roman Catholics blindly follow the Pope or any pseudo-Christian organization blindly follow their executive pastor or minister.

When you've got people believing in what I call sola parochus the the scam works beautifully. Like the Roman Catholic faithful who are willingly blinded to follow the Pope to the point they don't realize they're actually worshiping him, if the pastor can gain that kind of influence over his flock then it works evil wonders doesn't it? When a sinister minister gets the people convinced that they should only listen to him or his direct subordinates then he's got them controlled. The whole sinister mind conditioning gets them to do what he wants. Though he's not necessarily a Jim Jones but it still does harm. I would believe Joel Osteen himself has his flock believing in sola parochus.

This pastor comes to the point that it's time to close their Bibles and listen to him. Then he starts misquoting Malachi 3:10-11 out of context to make a quick buck. While there's nothing wrong with Christians who give their 10% as part of cheerful giving but to teach tithes and offerings as "assurance of miracles" is really deceptive. That's nowhere in the Bible and not all blessings in the Bible come easy. Matthew 5:11-12 teaches that Christians must suffer before they get great rewards.  To tell them that if they tithe then they're happy, healthy and wealthy all the time. That kind of teaching has been one of the greatest deceptions that have caused people to blindly give money to their pastor believing every word he says. It's no different than Roman Catholics who blindly give money to their priests believing every word he says. When that happens, that sinister pastor manages to grab money to satisfy his own greed.

When people follow sola parochus instead of following the principle by sola scriptura, they would have checked and analyze the pastor's teachings. But when people are too lazy to read their Bibles and study it, they are easily deceived by sinister ministers. No wonder they believe a lot of heresies today because they don't discern with the Bible!
