I Have No Reason to Believe That the Roman Catholic Institution Is the Bride of Christ!
The Roman Catholic institution is not the Bride of Christ but a Whore who is married to the world. Roman Catholics tend to have contradicting views towards born again Christians. They may falsely accuse born again Christians of blind obedience to the pastor (but they say that blind obedience to the Pope is necessary for salvation) and that their doctrine of eternal security teaches a license to sin. After doing their false accusations I mentioned, they make a heel face turn. They brag about how popular the Roman Catholic institution is compared to the born again Christian groups, that the Pope gets the most attention with people bowing down to the Pope, how much prestige they have and that born again Christians are legalistic killjoys who don't know how to have fun. Those accusations are very contradictory and prove that the Roman Catholic institution is in fact married to the world.
Many sound theologians believe that the Roman Catholic institution is, in fact, the Whore of Revelation 17-18. I also believe that the Vatican is the Whore of Revelation 17-18. She's a religious and influential city that sits on seven hills. The Great Whore has both purple and scarlet in her symbolism together with the golden cup. They may say that the golden cup, purple and scarlet can be found in the Old Testament (so much for their "But it's only Old Testament excuse.") but the Roman Catholic institution perverts them for her own use. She claims to be the Bride but she has one unbiblical doctrine after the other. Worse, some of her most rabid defenders misquote Mark 7:8-9 to defend their tradition. I'm amazed at how blinded people can be. Revelation 17-18 calls her that great city that has an influence on all nations. What other nation has that much influence today than the Vatican itself?
Some of the ecumenical ones will tell me that I'm still family and that born again Christians or Protestants are separated brethren. Let me tell them that they're not my separated brethren and I'm not a separated brother of the Roman Catholic institution. I used to be part of their Mother Church but now I'm not part of it. I used to depend so much on Mary who couldn't help me. Now I realize that while Mary is indeed important but she saves no one. None of the Gospels declared that you must pass through Mary to get to Jesus. All Mary said in John 2:5 is to do whatever Jesus tells us to do. Nobody was ever invited to Mary for their salvation. Many Roman Catholics are sadly mistaken to believe that they aren't worshiping Mary when actions speak louder than worlds. Shame on pastors like Billy Graham and Rick Warren who openly work with the Great Whore of Revelation.
The ecumenical movement is proof that the Roman Catholic institution is not Christian. Peter would never approve of his pretentious successors' acceptance of other religions. There is no coexistence between the truth and error of ecumenism. John Paul II and Mother Theresa fed the heresy of ecumenism while they lived. That's why I get angry whenever there is evangelical literature that promotes Mother Theresa as an example of Christian living. Although Mother Theresa gave good advice - she also gave unsound advice. After John Paul II died, we had both Benedict XVI (now Pope Emeritus) and the incumbent Pope Francis further unifying the upcoming One World Church. Pope Francis is even continuing the heresy of salvation by works that all religions may enter Heaven if they're good enough.
That's just wrong because Jesus said in John 14:6 that He's the only Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus is the only way to God the Father because He's God the Son. If there were many ways to Heaven then Jesus would be wrong. But Jesus is God can't be wrong! He's co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He can't be wrong and He can't sin. Man can be wrong because man can sin but God can't be wrong because He can't sin. When Jesus said that He's the only way to the Father then He means it. Today's false Christians might as well accuse Jesus of not being "Christlike" because Jesus Himself would not conform to the worldly system. The true Church is not married to the world but married to Christ. The true Church was persecuted for centuries and the Roman Catholic institution gleefully also took part. No wonder she's drunk with the blood of the saints!
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
