I'm Amazed at How Deceased Catholic Faithful Still Pay Beyond Their Graves

Today is All Soul's Day and the final day of All Hallow's Tide. It's really no coincidence that the great Martin Luther hammered his 95 Theses on October 31st - a day before All Saint's Day and two days before All Soul's Day. Halloween doesn't only involve people asking for candy dressed up in various costumes. It also involves Roman Catholic parishioners also asking for donations for the souls in Purgatory. While they don't teach that Purgatory is a second chance for those who died without Christ - they teach that Christ's death is insufficient so people must pay for their sins in said place!

This is the problem of the Roman Catholic system's concept of salvation. Infant baptism so your child can be supposedly "free from original sin"? You pay! First confession when you can directly confess your sins to God? You pay! First communion because you just can't receive communion without it? You pay because they need pomp and revelry - not to mention post-first communion lunch or dinner! Confirmation rites? You pay! Last rites? You still pay! Worse of all - the faithful still pay beyond their graves because of masses said for their souls. They still believe that so and so is still have that "brief stay" in Purgatory for venial sins to be washed off. Wait a minute - I thought the blood of Jesus is all efficient and effective to wash away every sin and deliver people from their sins!

I remembered how it's crazy that certain people were dead for many years yet masses are still offered for them. Somebody does in the 1940s and guess what - masses are still offered for his soul. Somebody was dead for 90 years and guess what - masses are still offered for his soul. Some of them even have several masses said in several parishes! It also requires prayers and masses. I thought about what Anthony Pezzotta a former Roman Catholic priest turned Baptist pastor said about indulgences in his book "Truth Encounter". It really showed how the system is a gold mine. Sadly, many Roman Catholics today just don't realize how the concept of forgiveness for sale is still victimizing them. The average Roman Catholic today is almost blank about the abuses committed by their religion centuries ago!

With the indulgence in mind - isn't it any wonder why the St. Peter's Basilica is much bigger than the mansions of quack pastors who deserve scrutiny for exploiting the pulpit? It's hypocritical for Roman Catholic fanatics to criticize Joel Osteen (who by the way is not a born again Christian) while their beloved priests ahem pharisees are tearing down widow's houses with exorbitant fees and making long prayers as a pretense! The more masses the better, the higher the fee the better for the soul. All Soul's Day is nothing more than a mockery. Sadly, the masses aren't intended to end because no masses means no money. Worse, many people are blocked from entering the kingdom of Heaven whil the priests don't even enter themselves!
