I Don't See Much of a Difference With Both Polytheistic Idolatry and Roman Catholic Idolatry

I remembered reading a pamphlet written by a Roman Catholic apologist or read some passages from Catholic Answers that says Roman Catholics don't worship statues. They also say that it's not idolatry to pray to saints, angels and Mary because they're not pagan gods. I could agree with Roman Catholics that Mary of the Bible is not Semiramis or any pagan goddess or that they're not praying to pagan gods when they pray to saints and angels. But the problem is that they deny they're actually worshiping their saints, angels and Mary without knowing it.

Here's the issue of idolatry that I could point out. Pagan religions pray to various non-existent gods and angels as well as historical people they've dubbed as patron saints. I remembered how I was told not to pray to the gods in Taoist and Buddhist temples because they're all idols but it's okay to pray to the Roman Catholic saints and angels or to Mary. Later, I realized the same stupidity in the Roman Catholic system. If you think about it you have pagan religions praying to various saints, gods and angels in their pantheon for certain reasons. You have Roman Catholics praying to various saints and angels in their pantheon for certain reasons. Praying to a pagan deity or a canonized "saint" is no different. Both of them are an insult to God. All prayers are due to God and God alone.

The problem of Roman Catholics regarding Mary as their spiritual mother has no real Scriptural support. They just misquote John 19:25-27 to tell us that Jesus wants us to make Mary our mother. What they fail to read into context is that Jesus called Mary as "woman" instead of "mother" as a respectful term. Nobody in the right mind calls one's mother simply as "woman" but Jesus did. He didn't sin in doing so. Jesus didn't need Mary to have a body since He could give Himself one. But He did use Mary to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14. Mary said in Luke 1:47 that she needed a Savior. If she wasn't a sinner then why is she declaring her need for a Savior? Unfortunately, some overly emotional Marian fanatics just don't want to listen. They condemn the pagan goddesses but uplift Mary to the level of a pagan goddess. Even their Mary is not the Mary of the Bible but just another pagan goddess derived from every other pagan goddesses.

They can go ahead and argue that Mary is not the pagan queen of heaven but the true queen of heaven? Verse please. Their awful hypocrisy is that they demand for exact words from born again Christians but can't produce it themselves so they take Scriptures out of context. The problem is that the Roman Catholic doctrine of Mary is simply producing another pagan goddess in the honor of Mary. It's just like how certain polytheistic religions kept producing various gods and goddesses even after the birth of Christ. I read various manuals and just realized that more and more pagan cults were born. Besides, various branches of various pagan religions still keep multiplying even after Jesus' death on the cross. Satan worked double time so more gods and goddesses are born to compete with the Messiah's only way to salvation like how Nicholas of Myra is used to derive the false god Santa Claus or how the Easter Bunny is derived from another pagan deity. The Roman Catholic Mary is no different just like the birth of other various heretical "Christian" groups like the Ebionites, Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons just to name a few.

The problem with the Roman Catholic queen of heaven is that she's a distraction from Jesus. Praying to Mary or devotion to her doesn't bring anyone closer to Christ. I can agree with them that Jeremiah 44 was talking about another queen of heaven but it doesn't matter which queen of heaven they're praying to because idolatry will always be idolatry. I agree with them that they're not praying to Ashtoreth or Ishtar but that excuse can also be used by other pagan religions. The Queen of Heaven title is not exclusive to just one pagan goddess. The Greeks have Hera, the Romans have Juno, the Chinese have Xi Wang Mu, the Egyptians have Isis and the list can go on to goddesses who are all called the Queen of Heaven. Giving Mary the title of Queen of Heaven is no different and the Roman Catholic Mary is a blasphemous imposter. She's not the Mary of the Bible because Roman Catholics attribute titles to her that should be for God and God alone. Should I mention that paganism doesn't only copy from each other but also from the Bible? Examples should include how priests of Dagon wear miters like the Levites, Hercules is based on Samson (ex. both fought against a lion and tore them apart with their bare hands) and Adonis was found in a basket made of bulrushes like Moses. So don't be surprised how paganism has twisted the image of Mary the mother of Jesus into a pagan goddess.

Besides, some people have really no trouble adjusting between practicing a polytheistic religion and Roman Catholicism at the same time. It's something to think about how some people can go and pray to pagan temples and be a Roman Catholic at the same time. Like what's the difference between putting an image of the Roman Catholic Mary and another pagan goddess in one's altar? Both are an abomination that must be gotten rid of. Both Roman Catholicism and pagan religions have their common denominators of idolatry and superstition. They may vary from culture to culture but one can't deny they're all rooted upon the sin of idolatry.
