This Song "The Most Wonderful Day of the Year" Makes Me Really Angry
The song "The Most Wonderful Day of the Year" makes me angry. You want to know why? Christmas is NOT the most wonderful day of the year. It's best to call it "The Most Horrible Day of the Year" or "The Most Hypocritical Day of the Year". It always makes me angry just thinking that Christmas is coming soon. So what's so stupid about Christmas? It's the time of the year to have a license to sin. Parents think they're okay lying about Santa Claus saying it's just a harmless white lie. People think that Christmas is the time when you can get away with doing wrong. People just think about materialism. No wonder the world sings "It's the most wonderful day of the year."
What makes me upset is that they call it Christmas when they don't celebrate Christmas but Santa Claus, presents and parties. Every time that song is played on the radio I already feel like praying for fire to fall from Heaven to destroy the radio stations who keep singing that horrible song how Christmas is the most wonderful day of the year. The song even just talks about Santa Claus and toys for children and nothing about Jesus. I have every reason to get mad with that song especially I used to believe that Santa Claus existed.
At the same time, I feel pity for people who are listening to the lies of this song. I really wish they can see the reality that Christmas is not the most wonderful day of the year. If there's one horrible truth about Christmas it's that man is not basically good. The behavior of people during Christmas shows why the Incarnation of Christ became necessary. Jesus Christ didn't become God the Son in the flesh because man is good but because man is basically wicked. Should you want to celebrate Christmas then it should be that without Christ there is no Savior from sin and He's not a Savior of people in their sins.
