Why I Believe Unbelief Has Itself Springing From a Love For Sin

Why do so many want to refuse the Gospel and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? It's because they really love their sin. They would accept a Jesus that would save them in their sin rather than a Jesus that saves from from their sin. The whole issue of unbelief springs from a depraved nature, a mind that goes against God and a love for sin. Natural man hates the Gospel because it intervenes with their sin. People want a gospel that liberates them only from the consequences or sin or where man's contribution of good works is necessary to free somebody from their sin. Meet many religious people today whose hearts are wedded to their false gods or atheists with their desire that God didn't exist. It's all rooted on their love for sin that they don't want to be liberated from it. You can't have sin and the Savior because you must choose between sin and the Savior.

So often, I remembered how many Roman Catholics I've known personally can switch their stance from saying born again Christians are Antinomians then another moment they say Roman Catholics are legalists. Many of them refuse to get out of the Roman Catholic institution lest it removes their pleasure to do iniquity. I think it's in their way of thinking that as long as they're religious then they'll be able to climb up to Purgatory then have all the Masses for the dead said no matter how long it takes. They could go ahead and sin all they want, confess their sins to the priest, do penance and do the cycle over and over again. The same applies to a lot of false religions that rely on ritualistic salvation. It's an observation I've made many religious but lost people are faithful to their religion but are also very wicked people at the same time. I'm not a bit surprised about that!

For the atheist, I'd want to believe that they wish that life has no God and no moral absolutes to rule over them. They'd rather want to believe that there's no right and wrong but only pitiless indifference. They'd rather believe that God doesn't exist even if they know that He exists. They think that having all those rules are burdensome. It still springs from a love for sin that's why they say only stupid people believe that God is real and the Bible is not a book of fables. Yet they're the only ones stupid because they don't want to accept it that God made His Law for our protection. I guess they just want to sin all they want without the consequences. If you play with fire then you're going to get burned. If you drink poison then you're going to get poisoned. I guess they wish God would remove the consequences which He won't because He's too just and holy to ever compromise with sin.

In short, it's all about a love for sin. It's hypocritical to condemn Christians for their shortcomings while praising the rest of the world for the sin it does. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing sexually immoral Roman Catholic priests and prosperity gospel preachers are still getting loved and accepted by their pulpits while a Christian pastor who has truly repented of any sin that they may have committed is still continuously scorned. But as said, the world loves its own and would still commit double standard whenever it's convenient to get rid of the Christian and to favor its own.
