I Find It Really Annoying That Many Fail to See the Vatican's Abusive History During the Time of the Spanish Empire

I find it annoying to think how the Vatican's abusive history is just so "hushed up" today. After reading the history of the Spanish Empire's rise and downfall in several countries, one tends to forget the real power behind it namely the Vatican. A simple fact that one needs to realize is that during the 1500s the Roman Catholic institution ruled above the country's governments. The Roman Catholic church ruled above the governments and kings. The Pope has been ruling over kings and kingdoms with the aid of Roman Catholic monarchs. When it came to executing who "mother church" labeled as "heretics" even nobles were not at all exempted. When a noble opposed Roman Catholicism they can only expect to be executed for their faith.

When I read the history of former Spanish colonies most people just think of the Spaniards being abusive. Many are even misled into believing that the Spanish Inquisition was merely just an abuse of political power when it was really the Vatican's iron hand. In spite of the fact that secular history books teach that the church was above the state during that time, too few people ever realize the Vatican was also involved behind the abuses done in the former Spanish colonies. Many corrupt government authorities got away with what they did no thanks to Papal protection. Many theological scholars today call Roman Catholicism as the "Great Whore of Revelation" because in the New Testament, it's said that Peter even called Rome as "Babylon" (1 Peter 5:13). So much for claiming that Peter was the first Pope. I for one still believe until today that Roman Catholicism is the Great Whore and that the Lord Jesus Christ will judge the Vatican for her blasphemy along with the rest of all of the false religions.

Many Roman Catholics think today that the massive baptism of natives to Roman Catholicism was a marvelous work of God. I would believe they're ignorant of the fact that Roman Catholicism also used forcible conversion to spread their empire or that only Roman Catholicism was allowed in the Spanish colonies. There was no real separation of the functions of church and state. The Inquisition is either hushed up as a myth or for some Roman Catholics, it's a "necessary function" to purge out who they consider as heretics. Others even go as far as to say that it was born again Christians who murdered Roman Catholics. One lie begets another just like after they continue to claim that Peter was the first Pope when he isn't and the lie that the Roman Catholic institution gave us the Bible when it didn't. It was usually convert or die. Maybe even the average Roman Catholic priest of any order today is unaware of all the dirty secrets. Martin Luther was even shocked to realize all the dirt in the Vatican during his time. I guess former Jesuit priests who are now born again Christians may have had the Luther experience that aside from finding out their righteousness didn't suffice, they found out that their "holy order" is really not as holy as it seems.

It's really stupid how several former Spanish colonies still celebrate their liberation from Spain but the people either ignore the Vatican's abuses or that they don't even know anything about it. It's all been so cleverly played in one way or another. As 2nd Corinthians 4:4 says, "In whom the god of this world (Satan, emphasis mine) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." People are so blinded by the truth that only God can open their eyes.

What's worse is that people tell me that I should stop judging them. I always feel like the man who warns the sheep of the wolf. The lost sheep are the Roman Catholic faithful. The wolf is either their priest or Satan. If Jeremiah was humanly speaking a failure during his time then there's no reason that a born again Christian can expect to be accepted by the world system either. John 15:18-19 and James 4:4 warns that you can't be friends with the world and with God. The problem is that many Roman Catholics tend to do the fallacy of hasty generalization by lumping the true pastors of God (Jeremiah 3:15) with the fake pastors who God has condemned several times in Jeremiah. They call these men of God as the wolves and their priests as the good shepherds. I wonder if their idea of a good shepherd is one who rapes women and children? Worse, many sins in the Roman Catholic clergy are so cleverly covered up. What's worse is that I want them to know the truth but all they say is, "Don't judge me!" Well they're blinded so they can't realize their priests are wolves in sheep's clothing and that the pastors after God's own heart are there to warn them from the wolves and how they can be saved from the wolves. What's worse is that the Roman Catholic priests are even self-deceived that they don't realize they're not even men of God.

What Christians can do is to continue preaching the Gospel, telling Roman Catholics about how they can't save themselves, that salvation is never by faith plus works and preach to them the Gospel as the main focus in the daily fight against the Roman Catholic system. Born again Christians are commanded to warn people to deliver this message in Revelation 18:3-5 saying, "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities."
