Giving a Piece of My Mind About Roman Catholic Marian Fanatics Who Tell Me, "Go Ahead! Tell Jesus His Mother Isn't Important!"

Roman Catholics can be divided on what born again Christians think of Mary. One group may say that born-again Christians don't hate Mary but they don't have issues with Mary but only dogmas about Mary taught by the Roman Catholic institution. Another group are rabid Marian fanatics to the point they say that born again Christians hate Mary using the logical fallacy of Nom Sequitur. What's even more disturbing is that their so-called "unity" can be disrupted when one party of Roman Catholics end up exonerating born again Christians by saying that the latter doesn't hate Mary while the other party of Roman Catholics continues to insist that born again Christians are making Mary unimportant.

I would like to commend some Roman Catholic apologists who have inadvertently exonerated born again Christians from the false accusation that their fellow Roman Catholics keep on insisting as true that born again Christians hate Mary the earthly mother of Jesus. I've observed at how unprofessional some Roman Catholic apologists are when it comes to defending their stand or how hasty they arrive to conclusions without even getting the burden of proof. Some of them don't even bother to read posts properly before commenting even if the answers are written in that certain post. Instead of pointing things out, they just comment based on their illogical thinking governed by their emotions. What do you expect from people who can't even understand the context of Matthew 16:16-18 where Peter is obviously not the Rock or read through John 2:1-11 that Mary told people to do only whatever Jesus tells us but they think that Mary is mediating between me and Jesus in that scenario.

The Roman Catholic Marian fanatics would tell me something like that I choose to remain an "orphan" by not receiving Mary as my mother or that I'm telling Jesus His earthly mother isn't important. For them, when people don't accept Marian dogmas it's automatically hating Mary. If a person doesn't pray the repetitively tape recorder of a prayer called the Rosary or that I don't pray to Mary or consider her a co-Mediator then I'm diminishing her importance. I believe that Mary is important but these Roman Catholic Marian fanatics are overemphasizing the importance of Mary.

What's even dumber is that they even misquote Mark 7:8-9 that I "reject the Word of God to keep my own tradition" but look who's talking. Nowhere in the Scriptures did Jesus invite people first to Mary before they can even talk to Him. Instead, Jesus always invited people to Himself. They're rejecting God's Word by not only misinterpreting Scriptures but adding what it doesn't say. Did Sola Scriptura create all those denominations? No! Did rejection of it created a lot of cults? Yes! That's why we're having several pseudo-Christian religions today aside from Roman Catholicism.

I agree with these Roman Catholic Marian fanatics that Jesus honored Mary otherwise He would have not kept the whole Law. But there's a thin line between honoring somebody and worshiping them. Christians are commanded to honor their parents but not worship them. Likewise, Christians do honor Mary but not as what she's not. They may go ahead and claim to just simply give honor to Mary but by uplifting her above what she's not then that's idolatry.

I'd like to share this statement from the late Baptist preacher Anthony Pezzotta from the Truth Encounter in Page 147 to conclude this post:
We Love Mary... The Biblical Way
We have to thank God for Mary and rejoice because of her. We consider her blessed. Mary is definitely a shining example of how we, as believers, should live. She exemplifies genuine faith, dedication, purity, humility, perseverance, self-denial and suffering for the sake of Christ. She was knowledgeable of the Scriptures and obedient to its precepts.
However, we must not extol Mary beyond her role as a believer. Most of the dogmas and practices of Catholicism concerning Mary are against the Word of God. Mary, herself, surely would not want us to accept them. She would want us to follow God's Word and to focus on Christ and trust Him alone as our Mediator.
