Reflecting on Mary's Humble Expression of Her Need For a Savior

Today is the feast of the so-called Immaculate Conception of Mary. That statement that says Mary was born without any sin is a lie from the pits of Hell. If Mary was born sinless (and this also has the question that she had both human parents) then why did she express in John 1:47 that she needed a Savior? She was truly a humble woman. Grace was given to her not because she was sinless but because she was a sinner saved by grace.

I reflect upon the words of Mary that she rejoices in God her Savior. I have no reason to believe that she was conceived without sin. A careful reading of Luke 1 would reveal that she was indeed someone who needed a Savior. The very idea that God the Son would be in her womb, that a child would be born of her conceived by the Holy Ghost is unfathomable. She must have thought many times that why her of all people.

I can't fathom what was in Mary's mind and heart that moment the angel Gabriel appeared unto her. But she was obedient anyway because she knew the will of God. Salvation was not made possible because of Mary's obedience as if everything was laid upon her. Rather, salvation was made possible because God's sovereignty was in action.

I couldn't help but still reflect on Mary's sin offering. She offered the necessary sin offering in Luke 2:22-24. I find it so absurd how Marian idolaters often think that this isn't proof that Mary isn't sinless. No, if she were not a sinner then why would she be ceremonially unclean that she needed to bring a sin offering? It should also be disturbing that Marian idolaters teach that Mary was conceived without sin from two parents who weren't conceived in sin yet they refuse Jesus can be born without sin from a woman who was just another sinner saved by grace.

The wedding feast in Cana is so often perverted to say that Mary intercedes. But do the Marian idolaters read what Mary said or take it into heart? Do they realize Jesus politely rebuked His mother by telling her not to tell Him what to do? Mary only commanded in John 2:5 saying, "Do whatever He tells you to do." This was a very act that blows everything. She wanted to tell people to do what Jesus would tell them to do. She gave no other order. She wants people to understand that she couldn't intercede between her and her Son. She knew that even if Jesus was her Son in the flesh but He was also her Lord. Just as David said in Psalm 110:1 that the LORD said unto his Lord. Jesus is both David's Lord and son (descendant).

If anything must have been so impressive with Mary is her willingness to endure to the end. She knew one day her Son would die for the sins of the world. At the cross, she stands. She beholds her Son and her Lord. She doesn't faint. She doesn't crouch in grief. It was this reverence for her Lord that she repressed her grief as not to disturb His last moments. How it must have pained her to see what sin has done to her Lord. She had the privilege to be His mother in His humanity. She grew with Him and she understood the necessity of payment for sin.

How I really think of Mary as not just a mother to model but a sister-in-Christ to model. I think so often how the Papists have elevated Mary too much in their doctrine. It's so sinful how Mary is worshiped like any other pagan goddess. I don't care if they claim that they're not praying to Semiramis or Ishtar. Praying to anyone except God is an act of idolatry. They claim that they're asking Mary to pray for them when they pray to her. But shouldn't they be asking the living to pray for them. Mary can't hear them. Right now, she's in Heaven rejoicing with the saints that have gone before.

The doctrine that Mary is without sin is not of the Bible. What a shame that Satan the dragon continues to distort the image of Mary the humble woman. Instead of a humble woman who did God's will she is presented by Satan as a proud Madonna. How many apparitions today are done by either Satan or his demons claiming to be Jesus' earthly mother? How much disrespect is that for a woman who loves God with all her heart and told others to do what Jesus tells them to do? All of them are not Mary but demonic imposters in these last days. While apparitions are indeed biblical but these apparitions present another gospel which is not another (Galatians 1:8). The real Mary would never tell people to devote themselves to her but to God. If she were to speak today she would attack the evils of Marian idolatry and tell people to go to Jesus directly.

I really pray that people who still keep teaching wrong things about Mary to repent. They need to see that they need to come to Jesus directly. If believing in Mary as co-Mediator and that you need to pass through her before you come to Jesus were true then the apostles would have said so. Neither Peter who they woefully lie is the first Pope never elevated Mary in his writings. Neither did Paul who they believe as a pillar with Peter ever declare that people must pass through Mary. They lie that Luke was a devotee to Mary based on some myth. They must go directly to Jesus because it's He and not Mary who will crush Satan's head (Genesis 3:15).
