"But it hurts! You don't know how hard it is to be insulted!" is a very common thing that rings in my head. The issue of insults is this is that they are always meant to put people down. It really hurts one's own ego. There's always going to be people who will put me down. It's very tempting to get physical and get even but why should I? People love to use the excuse that the Bible was written by man so why should they believe it. I throw the answer to ask them on who wrote all their textbooks. This creates a really bad case of double standard.  Atheists say that they reject the Bible because man wrote it. They mock it because it's only written by man but wait... many of them don't even bother to question the writings of great atheists. Let any famous atheist write a book and they're going to applaud it as Christians applaud Scripture. Don't tell me that those who wrote their books were not men?  The other group that I'd like to raise up are those who reject Sola Scriptura while claiming to be Christian. Many of them say that the Bible is only written by men, they say that Sola Scriptura is self-refuting (and they misquote obvious verses that support Sola Scriptura) but they put their faith on religious leaders and councils. It's amazing how people quote verses out of the Bible's context to justify heresy. Worse, such people may be accusing me of "rejecting God's Word to keep my tradition" when they're the ones who are doing it. While I'm aware that the New Testament doesn't follow the ceremonial law anymore, Christians may now eat pork and shrimp but the moral law stays the same. Just because God doesn't call for the death of homosexuals in the New Testament doesn't mean He's already condoned to it. What's morally wrong will always be morally wrong. People tell me, "Please be tolerant! Stop criticizing other religions! We should love one another!" I'm sorry but people just keep taking Scriptures out of their context or they misinterpret the obvious. If my discussion with Roman Catholics about Peter's so-called primacy is already stressful enough, the same goes for every misapplied verse. One of them is to misapply love one another. What makes my mind blow is that Richard Dawkins said that it's a fact that life evolved out of nearly NOTHING after the universe evolved out of nothing. He says it's a fact but where is the data to prove that the universe evolved out of nothing after billions of years? It wasn't observable nor was it tested. I just want to get so angry looking at this! It's easy to remind myself that Jesus never promised me to be happy, healthy and wealthy all the time. It's easy to remind myself that the Christian life will be difficult. But it's hard to remind myself to calm down whenever the crowd doesn't want the truth and would rather choose to remain lost in their error. It's a huge problem today that people today would rather choke on their pride than spit it out so they can swallow the truth. Almost every day, it's very easy to hear unsound doctrine. Some even dare to say they're "sound doctrine" but what are they teaching? Some of these teachings that really annoy me because its proponents take the Scriptures out of context are like adding works to faith in Jesus Christ, Antinomianism, Pelagianism, Arianism, Nestorianism, Gnosticism or just anything that doesn't agree with the Bible. What's worse is that even after I point out the Scriptures in context, they still insist in taking the Scriptures out of context. Arguing with such people is stressful. Today is the Islamic feast of sacrifice. It's a sad thing to see people who are lost from Roman Catholics who are trying to continue Jesus' sacrifice through the Daily Mass to just anyone who wouldn't accept that the sacrifice was done once and for all. Every time it's September, I'm reminded of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. It's been 15 years since the fall of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center and I felt like it was a sign of the L ORD's inevitable coming. After that incident, I started reading more about Islam that it wasn't a peaceful religion. It didn't surprise me because I was already saved when I read those information.  So why did the two terrorists two what they did? Islam guarantees no salvation even for Muslims and the biggest guarantee is that if they die in Jihad. The religion of Muhammad was spread through terrorism. The whole promise of giving the martyrs of Allah their reward of seventy virgin may have motivated the two suicide bombers into doing what they did. It's very easy for any Christian to talk God for granted for a certain period of time until they're chastised out of it. Christians no matter how saved they are and no matter how much they grow in grace, no matter how much they can't live like the rest of the world do still have certain sins to take care of. When I wake up in the morning I even ask myself did I ever forget to thank the L ORD for something that He did for me?! The answer is yes. It's very easy for me to grumble when trials come. I fail to think about Romans 8:28 that says that God allows pain and affliction to the believer for a purpose. What's very easy to forget is that God doesn't allow Satan to harm any Christian without His divine permission. Remember that Job was under God's protection. If you're truly saved then your life ought to change. I'm getting sick of people who simplify the presentation of the Gospel to the point that vital facts like Jesus is God the Son in human flesh, His death on the cross, His burial and resurrection are suddenly deemed "unnecessary" by such heretics. There's the statement that you can tell the truth without loving but you can never be loving without telling the truth. Sometimes, pastors can lose that balance. It's good to have pastors who are serious about attacking any kind of sermon like Joel Osteen's prosperity gospel or the late Robert Schuller's self-esteem teachings. If becoming too soft and preaching an easy gospel is misguided then one must be careful about the other extreme opposite.  When a pastor decides to become cheesy and offensive as possible with every known method like screaming, using selected unsightly images (ex. censored out pictures, aborted fetuses to name a few) for their digital and printed media, offensive caricatures of Jews and conspiracy theories then that's just as equally misguided as easy believism. As said, I'm getting annoyed at those who claim that they're Christian but they don't value holiness, they say that you can get saved and still remain the same and I wonder how do they even read the Bible when it's written black and white that when you're saved, you can't live like the Devil anymore! My head spins and my temper is ignited to explode whenever I hear somebody who reads Mark 7:8-9 against Sola Scriptura. What's chilling about it is this: how can anybody who adheres to Sola Scriptura ever be rejecting the Word of God to keep one's own tradition?! It can't happen!
